Nautical Disaster - The Tragically Hip

This image reminds me of the Tragically Hip song 'Nautical Disaster' except that it's Canada and not France :-) I can only imagine how many souls these rough maritime waters have taken over the years. I have heard that fisherman have the most dangerous jobs in the world. It's a damn tough life. My grandfather was a fisherman and some of my earliest memories are from the summers spent on the eastern shore at his cottage on the ocean. It was on Sober Island near Sheet Harbour. The old joke was that the only sober thing there was the island itself :-)
I never really thought of it before but I guess that's why I have an affinity for the coast and all these fishing boats I keeping taking pictures of.

As a side note; this is the first time that I had ever seen this video. I actually don't like videos as I find they change your personal perception of a song. Once I see the video all I think of when I hear the song is the damn video instead of whatever images the song had conjured up previous to seeing it.

Boy, am I ever babbling today! Sorry about that! :-) You guys are going to call me "CHAYBERT" now :-)

On a personal note; The 'Hip is by far my favorite band and I have seen them many times live. Funny thing is that most people that aren't from Canada are going to ask: "Who the f*ck are the The Tragically Hip?"
